Istituto Marangoni Project - Timeless Elegance - Print Design                    2024

A fusion of Art and Symbolism 

This print design project is inspired by the rich symbolism of tattoos and the evocative work of Fabio Viale, particularly his “Monu- mentum” series. Viale’s fusion of classical sculpture with contemporary tattoo art serves as a central influence, blending tradition with modernity. Additionally, the project draws from masterpieces like Botticelli’s “Primavera” and Cabanel’s “The Fallen Angel,” which provide a foundation of classical beauty and profound emotion.

By merging Eastern and Western cultural elements, the designs celebrate a unique cross-cultural narrative. Asian art’s delicate, ornate patterns are integrated with bold, symbolic imagery from Western tattoo and fine art traditions, creating a harmonious blend of aes- thetics. This synthesis not only highlights the universal nature of art but also honors the distinct yet complementary qualities of these diverse heritages.

Through this project, I aim to create a collection that is visually captivating and rich in meaning, reflecting timeless stories and symbols that transcend cultural boundaries.
